About this concert
Join Dave Favours & the Roadside Ashes when they launch their new double A-sided 7” single Walking/Waterfront Blues on Friday, June 27 at the Link & Pin in Woy Woy.
Walking is a cover of the Eastern Dark classic and features the Eastern Dark’s Bill Gibson on backing vocals. Waterfront Blues is a Favours original and the first track to be lifted from their forthcoming album, Service Station Chicken, which is due out in November. Both showcase the band’s twangy indie rock sound perfectly.
Joining them on the night on the night are good friends Ben Leece & Left of the Dial and Fähm.
Ben Leece & Left of the Dial will be performing material from Ben’s back catalogue and their highly anticipated, socially and politically charged new album.
Fähm are a supergroup featuring many well-known Newcastle luminaries. Picture Tom Waits fronting the Gun Club.
Entry is free.

Dave Favours & The Roadside Ashes Biography
Dave Favours is a music fan. You know the type, one of those lonely souls who can be found digging through bins in record stores every weekend. Whilst considered primarily an alt-country act, his band is a showcase of all the influences that can be found in his extensive record collection.
A recent live review of the band said, "Dave Favours & The Roadside Ashes are unique in that they so effortlessly blend indie rock, alt country and ragged dusty pop to create their own jangly, roadside flavour. Fringe country with more than a tad of pop sensibility.” That about sums it up.
