The Doughboy Foundation is featuring the HPO at the beautiful new National World War 1 Memorial for a free summer concert open to the public. HPO will be playing tunes form the 1920s and 30s. Plus a few patriotic tunes to kick off the 4th of July weekend! Jari Villaneuva is musical director/conductor and Janet Paulsen is the lead vocalist and manager. The Memorial is located at 1400 Pennsylvania Ave NW between 14th adn 15th Street

Jazz/Pop vocalist Janet Paulsen is known for her carefully curated shows, thoughtful interpretation of lyrics, and passionate delivery. Janet lives in the Baltimore area and headlines all over the East Coast, either leading her own ensembles or performing with The Hotel Paradise Orchestra which specializes in music from the 1920 and 1930s. She is a classically trained singer and began her career with a full scholarship to Carnegie Mellon University, and went on to perform with a variety of opera companies in New England and the Midwest.
