ION, also known as Jimmy Mosqueda Jr. is a 29-year old music producer and sound designer from Visalia, California. ION focuses on pushing the boundaries of sound by creating a multi-dimensional, eclectic combination of frequencies all while spurring complex and deep rhythms. His tracks are filled with energizing trap & hip-hop influenced percussion that is layered with an experimental composition of spacey, distorted wubs & basses, analog synths, sacred tones and deep punching 808s.


With a drive dedicated to connecting through sound, ION consistently releases tracks keeping his marks in the bass music and dubstep communities. Touring and headlining sold-out shows in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Oregon, Texas, Utah, and Washington DC, has brought together a purely organic ION fanbase who can recognize his unique sound design, as well as his refreshingly energized DJ sets.


Along the journey, ION has performed alongside many greats including, CASPA , Excision, Gentlemens Club, Dirt Monkey, Truth, ATLiens, Jantsen, Slugwife, Gaslamp Killer, CharlestheFirst, Riot Ten, Distinct Motive and several others at high tier events like Beyond Wonderland, Lightning in a Bottle, Northern Nights Music Festival, and many more. Additionally, he has garnered musical support from Liquid Stranger, Of The Trees, and Lab Group, to name a few.
