Mr. Kowalsky Biography
Mr. Kowalsky is a Costa Rican-born, Paris-based, internationally-minded musician, frequently touring in Europe, Latin America, and the United States, and singing in English, French, and his native Spanish. He calls his musical style “Surf Rock Reggae,” wherein he explores the roots of reggae and mixes them with his varied influences, such as surf and rock accents.
Mr. Kowalsky began his musical career in the mid-nineties in San José, Costa Rica, with his former band, 13 Millas de Libertad. He has five studio albums behind him, two being with 13 Millas de Libertad, and more recently, three as a solo artist.
In recent years Mr. Kowalsky visited recording studios in Los Angeles, Boston, Paris and Kingston, Jamaica, hard at work on a new solo album and multiple new singles. In 2019, he released the first three singles from the album: "California to Kingston", "Palmera" and "Jack's Hill". Mr. Kowalsky's latest album called "Everybody nice" also features the talents of Greg Lee (Hepcat), Vin Gordon (Skatalites, the Wailers, and Studio One session musician), Jamila Falak (from Jamaica), among other guest musicians, stay tuned because Mr.Kowalsky will be constantly releasing new music through all broadcasting channels.
