3l3d3p Biography
Growing up between Crenshaw, Inglewood, Venice, and the streets of Hollywood, Marina Thompson was exposed to a vastitude of culture, art, and music from a very young age. Though many elements from these environments had a tendency to clash, the way they did so uniquely resonated within her.
Over the years, Marina would write music and lyrics for her bands and played bass, guitar, keys/synths in a plethora of local acts. After failing to achieve the concept of marrying elements that influenced her within these bands, it became a necessity to seek the sound she envisioned on her own. 3L3D3P was born from the urgency and became Marina’s first project as a solo act.
