Men Eater Biography
Men Eater emerged in 2005, uniting members of For The Glory and Blacksunrise with a shared drive to create something heavy and unrelenting. Within months, they had written and recorded their debut EP, marking the start of their journey.
In 2007, they released HELLSTONE through Raging Planet, cementing their place in the Portuguese underground. Their intense live shows saw them share stages with Metallica, Mastodon, Torche, Pelican, and Cult of Luna, building a reputation as one of the country’s most powerful acts. 2009’s VENDAVAL pushed their sound even further - gritty, direct, and heavier than ever. A relentless touring schedule took them across Europe, leading to lineup changes but never slowing them down. With GOLD in 2011, the band expanded their sound, introducing a more dynamic approach while keeping their raw energy intact. The stages got bigger, the shows became longer, and Men Eater continued to evolve.
After nearly a decade of momentum, they went on hiatus in 2013, returning briefly in 2016 for a couple of special HELLSTONE performances with the original lineup. Then, in 2023, they made a full comeback with their self-titled fourth album, proving their intensity remained unchanged. Now, in 2025, they’ve released a new EP, WHOLE, as they continue work on their next album.
