The Brilliance of Casamance's Vocal Pearl
From her native Casamance to Europe, MARIAA SIGA has experienced a meteoric rise over the past 10 years.
From her first artist competitions in Senegal to The Voice in France, including the One Riddim Contest on the reggae label Baco Records, from her nominations at the Victoires du Reggae to the final of the Prix Découvertes RFI, this young artist has risen through the ranks with incredible maturity.
It must be said that her voice and musical approach are perfectly expressed in Diola rhythms as well as in blues, folk-jazz, and even roots-reggae influences.
The broad palette of quality world music.
Whether acoustic or electric, Mariaa Siga knows how to place her deep and evocative vocal timbre, which resonates as the hallmark of West African music.
