Malko Biography
At 24, Malko is emerging as a rising figure in the hip-hop scene. Inspired by Josman, Laylow, and Stromae, he is crafting his own universe, blending music, fashion, and visual arts.
He released his first tracks in 2021 with Spleen Amore, before returning in 2022 with new collaborations, including Mike Clay (Clay & Friends), Jason Brando (Charlotte Cardin), Pops & Poolboy (Fouki), and BlackDoe (Tayc).
In the summer of 2023, Malko introduced 30°, a trio of songs with Afro influences. Co-written and co-produced with his creative partner Willy Wonder and Hypnotic Beatz (Damso, SCH), the project helped solidify Malko’s profile in both Quebec and France. Within just a few weeks, the lead track MOTOMAMI became the most-streamed song in the young artist’s catalog on Spotify.
A few months later, Malko returned with his debut EP, MAELSTRÖM, and became the first francophone artist to be named Breakthrough Artist by Amazon Music Canada. He traveled to Paris in the spring of 2024, connecting with directors such as RayDaPrince, Lucci, and Bloody. This trip led to the creation of the project Émotionnellement Indisponible, released in October 2024, featuring French artist Chanceko on the track Parapluie. As part of the EP’s promotion, Malko performed his first show in Paris and appeared on the French radio station Mouv’.
