Hailing from the sunshine state of Florida and now based in the eclectic scene of Seattle, DeShawn Rivers is a multi-instrumentalist whose musical journey began with the strum of a guitar at 16. Evolving swiftly, Rivers delved into electronic music production at 18, crafting instrumentals that laid the foundation for his diverse sonic palette. After a stint in beat-making, DeShawn transitioned seamlessly into the realm of rap, debuting with the EP "The Ballad of Willy Wonka" in 2020, followed by the introspective album "growing up is hard, that's why I don't" the following year. Refusing to be confined by genres, Rivers explored melodic rap in the enchanting "Sunday" EP of 2023, before venturing into soulful R&B territory with his latest release, "Lavender.", in 2024. A true musical chameleon, Rivers blends intricate instrumentals with introspective lyrics, creating a sound that is uniquely theirs, redefining their artistic boundaries with each release.
