About this concert

Christophe Calpini Biography
Swiss music prize winner, drummer, musician, composer and producer, Christophe Calpini has been fomenting projects in Switzerland and abroad for more than twenty years, as a pioneer of Swiss hip-hop alongside Silent Majority, on the electronics of Mobile in Motion ( with Marc Ribot) and the jazz-electro of STADE (BigDada/NinjaTune) alongside Pierre Audétat, via the soul-rock of Dog Almond. Not to mention his collaborations with Alain Bashung, Rodolphe Burger, Erik Truffaz, OY or Pascal Auberson.
A sound wizard as meticulous as he is inspired, this hyperactive Swiss likes to sculpt sound material and experiment with it, like his latest record “OKT4V” and “Motion Sickness” which gathers collaborations with several singers and musicians. Lyn M, Geneva singer of ELVETT (ex-Aloan), the Franco-Swiss trumpet Blue Note player Erik Truffaz and the French singer Rodolphe Burger with whom Calpini continues to tour and work on new projects.
