Grandad Biography
Tick-tock-tick-tock. Jazz-punk, disguised in order and chaos. A psychosis of sound that would make your grandad collapse.
Grandad doesn’t just push boundaries, but recklessly tears right through them. In 2024, a new guitarist and a saxophonist joined Grandad, breathing new life into the band’s sound. Since then, they’ve released five singles and quickly grown within the alternative music scene, performing across the Netherlands. In 2025, they won the Roos van Nijmegen first prize by blowing the roof off a sold-out Doornroosje. They’ve also played at festivals such as Code Oranje, Valkhof Festival, and Kabaal am Gemaal. Their debut EP Porcelain will be released on vinyl in July 2025, in collaboration with record label Waaghals.
