Noon Shift Biography
Taking inspiration from 90’s alternative rock and seasoning that angst with a pinch of hope, Noon Shift are a power trio from Sydney’s Western suburbs.
From humble beginnings as a self-producing, home-recording band (a habit continued to this day) Noon Shift have cemented their foothold on the Australian rock circuit as a band on the come-up with multiple sold out shows, festival slots and a total of over 340,000 collective streams.
“It’s an invigorating mix from Noon Shift and I can definitely hear that Foo Fighters, Fuel, Stereophonics type rock seeping in.” -Declan Bryne (Triple J)
The band was formed in 2014 after meeting as year sevens in their highschool’s junior guitar ensemble. The early years were spent growing musically as individuals as well as building musical bonds with each other that have lasted the better part of a decade. After years of demoing and refining their recording skills Noon Shift began working on what would become their debut EP ‘Fuse’ in early 2018. Soon after the EPs release in November of that year Noon Shift graduated high-school and began playing small opening slots in Sydney. Over the course of a few years and the release of their second EP ‘Worth Its Cost in Time’ Noon Shift have begun making waves on their local scene, waves expected to reach far and wide as the band continues to grow.
Noon Shift are gearing up for the release of their anticipated debut album ‘Steering Wheels on Summer’s Days’ on October 14th 2022. It is an album detailing the experiences of the end of a romantic relationship, and the journey of rebuilding one’s self after.
With a sound that is uncompromisingly true to the band and their listeners, Noon Shift are to be kept under close eye as they embark on a musical journey that will see them be early riders on the wave of alternative rock’s resurgence over the coming decade.
