About this concert
Since their debut in the early 90s, The Brand New Heavies have been a fixture in the acid jazz scene. With hits like Dream On Dreamer , Sometimes and You Are The Universe, they built a rock-solid live reputation. In 2023, the compilation album Never Stop… The Best Of was released , followed by a successful tour with the London Concert Orchestra. The band recently played a sold-out show at the Royal Albert Hall and now they bring their unique mix of soul, jazz and funk to De Oosterpoort.

The Brand New Heavies Biography
The Brand New Heavies are an acid jazz and alternative hip hop group formed in 1985 in Ealing, West London. Originally an instrumental rare groove group, the Brand New Heavies gained a cult following in the London club scene and soon signed to Cooltempo as acid house replaced rare groove in clubs.
