October Ember Biography
October Ember is composed of Jennifer Dutiel and Kevin Holland, a multi-instrumentalist couple with a penchant for the quirky and the beautiful. Their music's a cross-pollination of folk, alternative, jazz, prog, & art pop. Their songs cover the concepts of consciousness, mortality, love, mental health, wonder, curiosity, science, and failure, to name a few. They’ve released several albums, and have a plethora of additional releases available exclusively on Bandcamp. They’ve been featured on WCBE’s Music Journey’s program, WOSU’s Broad and High Series, and play frequently all around central Ohio in venues such as Natalie’s, Rambling House, Rumba Cafe, Columbus Commons, ComFest, private house concerts, various community markets, Witchlab, the Vanderelli Room, and for organizations such as Ballet Met, 400 West Rich, and more. OE’s often joined by the inimitable Troy Kunkler on percussion. They’re currently based in Columbus, Ohio, and are planning to tour the northeastern US in early September 2025.
