Lead singer-songwriters Maygen Lacey and Noah Neumann began as a duo and quickly realized their sonic vision needed more. At the heart of their sound is a collective of talented musicians. Multi-instrumentalist Nik Pellinen adds depth with his banjo, lap steel, electric guitar, and harmonies while Jesse Moravec brings a vibrant touch with mandolin and harmonies and Evin Haukos soars on fiddle. Bassist Joe Barron and drummer-percussionist Peter Anderson round out the ensemble, crafting a fresh take on bluegrass-infused folk. It’s a hyphenated hybrid that can come only from a seasoned—and tightly knit—band. Joseph Huber hails from the state of Wisconsin, and seems to bring forth the varied voices of whatever it may be that lies dormant within either the fertile soil or the callous concrete of that world. It has been said, "You don’t just like Joseph Huber’s music. You feel it’s something that the rest of the world needs to hear, and how criminal it is that it isn’t spreading far and wide." That sentiment could be related to the fact that the voices which Huber unearths are subtle and take more than a hurried listen to truly absorb. A person who appears reserved and matter-of-fact in everyday speech brings forth songs that are anything but that. Turn Turn Turn is a trio who bonded over their mutual love of close harmony 60s and 70s country, folk, and pop music and formed an original Americana band. To create their distinctive sound, the band “turns” to the distant past of early American recorded music, “turns” again to that renaissance of the 1960s and 1970s, and finally “turns” again to the present looking forward. Members Adam Levy (guitar, vocals), Savannah Smith (guitar, vocals) and Barb Brynstad (bass, vocals) are all mainstays of the Minnesota music scene and together craft an infectious, pop-infused Americana. Even though Turn Turn Turn was born as a cover band, the group's original material – sweetheart alt-country folk-pop – quickly stole the spotlight. The Penny Peaches are a family band with an alt-Americana sound. Sister songwriters Hattie and Grace Peach feature lyrical storytelling, blood harmonies, and soaring melodies in their songs. Hattie brings lead vocals, acoustic guitar, and fiddle to the group.

Maygen & The Birdwatcher Biography

Maygen & The Birdwatcher weave a rich tapestry of Americana, blending folk and country with an eclectic twist.

The Americana Dream is a journey of a record that finds Maygen & The Birdwatcher expanding their horizons in multiple ways. The second record from the Minnesota-based group is a sonic travelogue that charts where they have been and where their collective gaze is headed. The record follows the group’s 2021 debut Moonshine, as well as festival opportunities to share stages with fellow genre luminaries like Sierra Ferrell, Old Crow Medicine Show, and Grace Potter and being awarded Album of the Year from the Midwest Country Music Organization. Along with co-producer John Fields (Brandi Carlile, Soul Asylum, Miley Cyrus), Maygen & The Birdwatcher’s new album represents a full embrace of the literal definition of Americana, as well as a deep love for the ground we walk on and the future of the planet itself. On The Americana Dream, the group continues to push themselves while making it sound easy and effortless through the pure strength of their creations.
