Sophie Janna

Sophie Janna toured the world with folk duo The Lasses before sharing her own songs on the stage. Inspired by the Irish ballads she sang for years, Sophie Janna writes disarmingly vulnerable songs about being a soft human in a world made of concrete. The release of debut EP Wide World (2021) saw her play at Roots of Heaven and Rambling Roots, as well as support shows for Jeffrey Martin, Lisa Hannigan and Florist. With Christmas single Fairy Lights she was lauded as Songwriter of the Year by indie podcasters Indie And A Show. Sophie Janna is currently working on her first full length album of original songs.
