About Anthony Arya
Now 23 years old, Americana artist Anthony Arya’s skyrocketing career is taking him far beyond his roots in the San Francisco Bay Area. He burst onto the scene at just age 16, with his appearances on NBC’s The Voice. Since then, he has released four full-length albums winning national awards for his songwriting.
With his soulful lyrics and gritty guitar riffs, Arya brings the folk rock sound of Los Angeles’ Laurel Canyon into a modern era. In 2018, he released his debut album, Going To California, earning him the Presidential Scholar of the Arts in the Singer-Songwriter category. His second album, The Road, was inspired by the sensibilities of Bob Dylan, Beatnik writer Jack Kerouac and F. Scott Fitzgerald.
While attending university, Anthony produced Circles & the Flames - an album that would win him international attention for his songwriting including International Songwriting Competition Finalist, International Acoustic Music Awards Finalist, Bluebird Cafe Golden Pick Contest Winner, and Telluride Blues and Brews Fest Challenge Finalist.
In 2023 after graduating from college, Arya released his fourth album, As It Turns Out, which was live-tracked at San Francisco’s historic Hyde Street Studios and his first release on vinyl. These songs propelled him through 160 shows in 2024 headlining well known venues and festivals throughout Northern California. Recent festival appearances include San Francisco’s North Beach Festival, San Jose Fountain Blues Festival, Mill Valley Fall Arts Festival, and the San Jose Jazz Summer Festival.
In 2025, Anthony Arya has been sharing new music with his rapidly growing fanbase, who have enthusiastically embraced the vibe. The songs weave dreamy folk textures with an indie-driven beat – a combination fans are calling some of his best work yet as they eagerly await the next release.
