Armature (WA)

"We made this band in order to love music again" is the guiding ethos behind Seattle-based math rock band Armature. Originally formed by guitarist and composer Owen Xia and drummer Evan Berge in 2018 Armature serves as a platform for its members to express gratitude and love for music, their communities, and the people that surround them. Rounding out the lineup are dear friends Colby Terry on bass and Bryant Wong on guitar.

Armature's music focuses on themes of love and community. Whether it be Owen's tributes to Seattle's Chinatown-International District, the feeling of logging off of Maplestory with a friend, the courage to heal, or just loving that really big whale Pokémon. Armature tries to capture the simple yet profoundly meaningful emotions of life with wild and expressive color.

Owen is often quoted saying that one of life's greatest joys is playing music with your friends, and the members of Armature hope you enjoy listening as much as they enjoy playing for you.
