Join world-renowned jazz vocalist and improviser Stephanie Nakasian for this energizing and transformative rhythm and phrasing intensive.
Don’t miss this chance to work closely with one of jazz’s top educators in a small-group setting.
How’s your swing feel? Are your 8th notes grooving? Do you know how to use space and forward motion in your phrasing? Are you “dumping” or “spilling” at the ends of your phrases—and could that be holding you back?
Dive deep into the art of swing, learning how to:
Strengthen your rhythmic feel and timing
Communicate more clearly through your phrasing
Let go of rigid tone lyric focus to improve your natural flow
Avoid "dumping" and "spilling" to unlock better breath control, tone, and vocal power
Sing more freely—with greater expression and confidence
Stephanie will work with you on your personal repertoire—including ballads—while offering:
Hands-on rhythmic exercises
Helpful handouts and homework
Scat singing practice and tips
Optional feedback on transcribed solos and vocalese phrasing
$195 for full course. Limit 10 Students.
Multi-Week Courses at JazzVoice.com are available for individual purchase.
