Combining sparkling melodies with wistful guitars and playful harmonies, Model Shop’s tightly crafted indie pop frames modern stories of love and longing through a nostalgic lens, like the lost soundtrack to a John Hughes Movie.

Rising from Seattle's indie-pop and rock scenes, Model Shop sprung to life in 2019 when long-time collaborators Kevin Emerson and Ethan Jones (Math and Physics Club, Central Services, Northern Allies) convinced bassist Jen Fox (These People Here, Way South, Julep) to make an honest trio out of their musings.

After playing their first shows in the moment the Pandemic unfolded, the band was sent to their own rooms to track their debut LP, Love Interest. Released in November 2022 (Meritorio Records) to rave reviews and rotation on KEXP, it was heralded as “one of the finest indie pop albums of the year” (One Chord to Another), with music that evokes “that feeling of being suddenly knocked out of one's heart” (Polaroid).

Model Shop’s sophomore album, Check the Forecast released worldwide on November 10, 2023 and their new LP is in currently in the works.
