Fun but a few things kept this down at 3 stars: 1) They didn’t play the kind of music they advertised. Sure, there were a lot of fun hits from Chappell Roan, Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj, Olivia Rodrigo, etc., but I was expecting more from artists like MUNA and Marina. The DJ did play one song by Rina Sawayama when I requested it but the fact that I had to at the very end of the night was a bit disappointing, especially when the event had specifically advertised playing music from that artist. 2) It ended way too early. Once we got to the venue we saw a sign saying it only lasted from 9:30pm-12:30am and then the actual music ended at 12:27am. A (paid) ticketed dance night ending so early, especially the last Saturday of pride month, was a letdown. 3) The crowd was small, especially for the space. I blame the organizers less for this than for the reasons stated above, but still a bigger crowd or even a smaller venue would have been more fun. Overall I still had fun, but the misleading advertisement of the kind of music they played combined with the early end to the night would make me hesitant to go again, especially paying for a $20 ticket.
