Slalomville Biography
You've made it this far. Amazing!
After many years of supporting bands big and small in the vibrant 2000s NYC music scene, Justin Gonzales started Slalomville in 2016 as an outlet for his back catalog of quirky songs and sonic experiments - a synth, sampler, and a dream. With a few years toiling away on his lonesome and with occasional special guest friends, the genesis of the band formed in 2019, with Amy Klein (fmr. Titus Andronicus), Ian Milliken, and Benji Reynolds.
With two EP releases under their belt (Fell, Haunting), the band are working on releasing a bigger statement, with a full album looming on the horizon.
Ethereal soundscapes, unusual song structures, and distorted vocals are to be expected from Slalomville. Their live performances are more experiential and visceral than the typical rock show. The songs highlight the understanding of one's self, bizarre situations, and weird dreams involving talking dogs.
