Gus Miller & The Buzz Killers Biography
Gus Miller and The Buzz Killers is a rising force in the Alternative Country and American Roots music scene, based in the live music capital of the world, Austin, Texas. Formerly known as Gus Miller Band, this rebranded group continues to embody the laid-back Outlaw Hippie Country and Bluegrass vibe that has become their signature sound, heavily influenced by Cosmic Country era of the early ‘70s and contemporary jamgrass/bluegrass, drawing inspiration from legends like Gram Parsons, Willie Nelson,The Grateful Dead, and more modern acts like Railroad Earth and Leftover Salmon.
At 30 years young, Gus Miller has already achieved significant milestones, sharing stages with renowned artists such as Ray Wylie Hubbard, The Wood Brothers, and Jason Boland. His accolades include winning the Kerrville Folk Festival’s university songwriting competition and being named “Artist of the Month” by the Austin Music Foundation.
With new music on the horizon, Gus Miller and The Buzz Killers are poised for even greater success in the coming years. Authentic and timeless, they are a group to watch, whether you’re a die-hard country and bluegrass fan or simply a lover of great music.
