About this concert
Them Coulee Boys mark their annual return to the hotel on the heels of the release of their 5th album "No Fun in the Chrysalis". Recorded in Eau Claire with Grammy winner Brian Joseph, new singles "I Am Not Sad" and "Up Close" are receiving critical praise, and build on the growing repertoire of "hits" to watch for at the Boys' live shows. With an expanding catalogue expect a "no repeats" two nights of fun at one of the spots where their story begins. They will be joined by La Crosse's Knee-High July on Friday night and Winona's Texas Toast on Saturday night. FRIDAY NIGHT THEME: SPORTS About Knee-High July The driftless region locals put a very Wisconsin-spin on their Alt-country/folk rock original music. A headliner in their own right, July will do their damndest to get the crowd hoppin' for our first big summer show. And they're the perfect 5-piece to get your dance-muscles warmed up and your vocal cords tuned - because you'll be shouting "It's OK" before you know it. Want to make a good impression? Buy the guys a round of Hamm's - from the land of sky-blue waters. Tickets Online and in-person at The Hotel: $20 pre-sale and $25 day of show. Admission is limited to 750 revelers each night. Don't wait-these shows sell out! All ages are welcome. Those 16 and under must be accompanied by a paying adult. 12 and under are free. Gates open at 6pm. Show starts at 7pm. This is an outdoor, rain or shine event. About the Venue The Hotel grounds overlook the Mississippi, with fabulous sunsets and a warm and friendly vibe. Entry is through the Main Street gate of the Hotel yard. Bring photo ID for proof of age and ticket purchase. Hotel food and drink sales are cash only. ATM on premise for the occasion. Pets are not allowed on grounds during these large shows. Food and drink are available for purchase outdoors during the show by Taco Town, Trempealeau Lions and Trempealeau Hotel. Food and beverage may not be brought in. If you bring foldable chairs keep bags in your vehicle to avoid delays at entry (and you won't lose them). Bags and blankets will be checked. There are rooms for rent at The Hotel as well as Inn on the River, Little Bluff Inn and various short term rentals. There is camping at Perrot State Park and Lake Road Campground. Restaurant The Restaurant and Saloon will be closed for dinner service on Friday and Saturday. All food and drink during the shows will be sold outside. Lunch from the restaurant will be available Saturday from noon til 4pm. Post show Driftless Revellers - string band freak-folk from the fringes of the Driftless and the reservoirs of revelery keep the party going immediatly following the show indoors.

The Driftless Revelers Biography

The Driftless Revelers formed in the second spring of the first global pandemic of the 21st century, with one ear turned toward the shellac platters and Victrola virtuosos of the early to mid 20th century, and the other ear glued to the soundscapes of the 1960's & 1970's American freak-folk scene.

Featuring the original songwriting of Ben Nelson, Matthew R. Sayles, and Jerod Kaszynski, the Driftless Revelers will pleasure a crowd with plectral banjo tones, the mournful wailing of resophonic steel guitars, and the up-right bass bellows of an era that can't quite be defined, but revels in the timeless ephemera of weird old-time American music.

With influences as varied and eccentric as a proper musty smelling thrift store record collection, the band grooves merrily through early roots blues and jazz music, to hillbilly and string band howlers, all the way into the not-quite folk but not-quite psychedelic realms of their own creation.

A Driftless Revelers show will lure you in with their joy--keep you dancing with their search for the cosmic groove in the confines of stringed instruments--and will send you on your way with flashbacks of the Driftless Revelry found only in the essence of the intangible reaches of notes once played-- that then fall silent.
