Allie Young is a musician and producer making gritty vocalpower pop in Kingston, NY. Her live performances infuse tenor saxophone, vocal distortion, off-kilter samples and other mysteries, creating a world of magnetic soundscapes and vocal layers that range from delicate to dissonant and bellowing. In June 2024, she traveled to Belgrade, Serbia to make her debut music video for her track Back and Forth.
beccs is an alternative pop artist hailed as one of NYLON Magazine’s “favorite cool girls”, A John Lennon Songwriting Finalist, and an “indie-pop vocalist of astonishing candor” by the HuffPost. Holding up a mirror to herself and society at large, beccs confronts and heals audiences with a soul-stirring voice that is as dynamic as it is vulnerable. Steeped in music from birth, fearless on stage from childhood, beccs – Becca Gastfriend at the time – was an innate songbird. She moved to New York to study acting at Tisch School of the Arts, where she began gigging and making her first record. Blending a playful modern songwriting with a powerful voice akin to classic 60’s Laurel Canyon, beccs has been critically acclaimed by Atwood Magazine,KCRW,Refinery29, NYLON, Huffington Post Queer Voices, Popdust, LADYGUNN and featured on The BUILD Series with Monet X Change from RuPaul’s Drag Race for her queer-inclusive Christmas music video "Before This Christmas Ends". The SXSW Official Artist recently opened for Pussy Riot at Adhoc x Audiofemme’s unofficial 2024 SXSW showcase and wrapped a nationwide tour supporting Pomme at venues including Webster Hall and The Regent. beccs’ latest EP stay moist features collaborators including queer feminist icon Bitch and Oscar Nominated Ian Chang of Son Lux. stay moist EP,whichcharted #1 on CJSF 90.1 FM in British Columbia and was featured in KCRW’s “5 Songs To Hear This Week”, is a bold, edgy indie pop record “bursting with color, soulful vocals…[and] a hook you won’t get out of your head.” –The Daily Skimm.
John Thayer is a Hudson Valley–based musician and audio engineer whose experiential compositions are inspired by a deep attention to the sounds of the natural world. A trained drummer and percussionist, his solo work blends studio experimentation with improvisatory performance, ranging from layered ambient soundscapes to polyrhythmic electro-acoustic collage. He has released music on labels including Aural Canyon, Not Not Fun, Mexican Summer, and Moon Villain, and is a member of YAI and Earth Room. Thayer is also an active collaborator in the experimental scenes of NYC and the Hudson Valley and was formerly the house engineer at Thump Studios in Brooklyn.
