The City of Longview's annual Fireworks and Freedom Celebration will be held on Friday, July 4, 2025. Join us at the Longview Convention Complex for a free concert and the biggest fireworks show in East Texas! The concert begins at 6:30 p.m. Fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m.
Enjoy a free concert on the outdoor Zippy J's music stage. Bring a chair and enjoy the free show from talented artists. Tickets are not required.
In addition, the event will feature a free cruise night and patriotic car show. Bring your classic, custom, or patriotically decorated vehicle to receive prime parking as space allows.
Plus vendors and entertainment inside the Maude Cobb Convention Center. Inside entertainment a children's music performed named Hot Toast, a Princess Meet and Greet, a hot dog eating contest, and trivia contest. Registration for the eating contests and trivia will take place on the day of the event on a first come, first serve basis.
In partnership with the Longview VFW, a cornhole tournament will take place inside the Longview Exhibit Center at a time to be established by the Longview VFW. Registration for the cornhole tournament must be done utilizing the Scoreholio app available only on Apple or Android devices.
The concert, fireworks, and parking are free. Food and beverage will be available for purchase from vendors during the event.

Devin Michaels Biography
Based in Refugio, Texas, songwriter Devin Michaels received his first guitar in 2017 and has been weaving his thoughts into music ever since. His quiet nature meant that music could be an outlet – a way to get out all the things he couldn’t otherwise say.
While he was raised on George Strait, Merle Haggard, and his grandmother’s beloved Tejano music, Devin puts something a little grittier out into the world from his own fingertips. He combines influences from the music of his childhood with elements of rock and alternative to create a sound that is loyal to classic country but can entertain a rock n’ roll crowd easily.
His songs conjure vivid images, making audiences feel every emotion Devin has poured into each line. Whether it be the angsty and angry Wasted Time, or the heartbreakingly haunting ballad, Whiskey, he brings the listener on a journey rather than simply telling them a story.
Backed by a five-piece band, Devin creates music for people who love hard and hurt deeply. He sees himself and his music as an outlet for the brokenhearted.
