Mirran

The music of Dutch indie folk artist Mirran is characterised by colourful compositions, layered vocals and personal lyrics. The singer manages to create an intimate atmosphere in which he tells about his struggles with anxiety, the longing for a lost youth and breaking through fixed patterns. This emotional charge is translated into songs that are quiet and subdued on the one hand, and have grand and powerful moments on the other. It creates an interesting blend of the acoustic singer-songwriter genre with classical, psychedelic and dream pop influences.

Mirran's debut album ‘Blue In Blue’, which will be released on July 9, is a musical translation of the singer's twenties. It focuses on the struggle with a forced adult life and the search for authenticity in an increasingly cold modern society. The past two years have been hard at work on the 50-minute long record, which was mixed and mastered by Tammo Kersbergen (I Am Oak and St. Solaire, among others). Now the time has finally come for the songs to be shared.
