We are very excited to announce that ASLAN are returning to Australia in July this year, playing shows in Perth, Darwin, Sydney and Melbourne!
After over 40 years together, Aslan suffered the sad loss of their front man, Christy. Joe, Alan and Billy decided to continue their journey to keep their band, songs and music alive, welcoming Lee Tomkins as their new frontman.
In 2024 the band were asked by Chris Martin of Coldplay to perform ASLAN’s hit song, Crazy World on stage with Coldplay, for two nights in Ireland's largest stadium, Croke Park, to 82,300 people!
Since then, they have performed at the Academy Dublin, the INEC Arena and a very special gig at the 3Olympia, Dublin on March 16th 2025. They will be performing their first outdoor summer headline gig at West Lawn, Malahide Castle, Dublin this May.
They released their new single, “HEAR YOUR CALL” on 7th March 2025 and another one on the way.

Aslan Biography
After over 40 years together, Aslan suffered the sad loss of their front man, Christy.
Joe, Alan and Billy decided to continue their journey to keep their band, songs and music alive.
Joe, Alan and Billy welcomed Lee Tomkins as their new frontman. Lee, a musician, singer and songwriter, within his own right, brought a new energy and feel to the band and for the band, this was very important.
Aslan began their new journey in March 2024.. playing venues throughout Ireland in county’s such as Cork, Wexford, Waterford, Galway, Limerick and two sold out nights at Whelans in Dublin. Their journey continued, taking them on tour in Australia and the UK.
On their return from Australia, they were asked by Chris Martin of Coldplay to perform ASLAN’s hit song, Crazy World on stage with Coldplay, for two nights in Ireland's largest stadium, Croke Park, to 82,300 people.
Since then, they have performed at the Academy Dublin, the INEC Arena and a very special gig at the 3Olympia, Dublin on March 16th 2025
Originally from Dublin, Ireland. Formed in the mid-late 80's. The band was Christy Dignam (Vocals), Joe Jewel (Guitar), Tony McGuinness (Bass), Billy McGuinness (Harmonica, Keyboards, Percussion, Guitar) and Alan Downey (drums). Over the course of their career Aslan have played many different styles of music, ranging from pop, acoustic rock, rock etc.
The band has released 5 studio albums (Feel no Shame, Goodbye Charlie Moonhead, Here comes Lucy Jones, Waiting for this madness to end, and For Some Strange Reason) 2 live albums (Made in Dublin, and Live at the Olympia), 1 greatest hits collection (Shame about Lucy Moonhead), 1 DVD (Made in Dublin) and a Platinum collection which contained all their singles, b-sides, and other rare tracks. The band have also done duets with popular artists like Sinéad O'Connor (Up in Arms, She's So Beautiful).
