Le Couteau Biography
Jean-François "JF" Blain (guitars, vocals) and Phil Murray (bass, back vocals) both hail from Montreal, QC with Phil spending part of his youth in Ann Arbor MI, where Faris Albayya (drums) is from. The band ultimately met in Boston and formed Le Couteau late in 2019. Mixing a blend of post-punk and shoegaze, Now You're Nowhere was released in April 2025 and is Le Couteau's first LP that includes songs written over the past 12 years.
