Ashley Westcott Biography
The Future of Americana/Country Music, Rooted in the Past Hailing from the White Mountains of Arizona, Ashley Westcott weaves tails of Rattlesnake Waltz’s, Cowboy’s Heart’s and the Country way of life. A multi-instrumentalist, Ashley conjures sonic magic with guitar, dobro, mandolin and piano, painting vivid landscapes with every note. Influenced by the twang and grit of Loretta Lynn, the fingerpicking finesse of Molly Tuttle, and the honeyed grace of Sierra Ferrell, Ashley forges a sound that's undeniably Southwestern. She comes from a long line of ranching families. Her Great Grandfather is an Arizona Hall of Fame pioneer rancher and he provided his ranch horses for John Wayne movies.
But Ashley is more than just a voice, she’s a storyteller, painting portraits of true life events. Her stage presence is a captivating blend of charm and grit, seasoned with a dash of humor that keeps audiences hanging on every word. Whether finger picking a soulful ballad or bantering with the crowd, Ashley makes you feel like you're sharing a campfire story with a cherished friend.
Her musical journey is already paved with milestones. From recording original songs including "Taylor, Arizona; Come On It; and Let Me Sing,“ in Nashville, to sharing the stage with the legendary Lex Browning and Rob Wright, Ashley has earned her spurs (and their accolades). From headlining at the Arizona Cowboy Poetry Gathering in Prescott to Performing at the Gaslight Music Hall in Oro Valley, to Performing at the Art of the Cowgirl, to serenading over 15,000 people at the Taylor, AZ 4th of July Rodeo, she’s proven her ability to captivate audiences of all sizes.
But the fire in her belly burns bright. Ashley’s aspirations shimmer like desert mirages of sold-out shows, the hallowed stage of the Grand Ole Opry, and that dream of singing in the “Circle”. Ashley was born and raised in Taylor, AZ. Ashley has been called a modern day Loretta Lynn juggling kids, the house, life and music. Ashley has a lot of ambition and goals and she’s not afraid of hard work. You’ll be seeing her sing on the Grand Ol’ Opry stage “Someday Soon!”
