My Darling Light

Conceived in 2016, this New York based alternative rock band contains an international lineup centered around the songwriting, vocals and guitar of Eric Monroe. Along with his descriptive storytelling and insightful lyrics, the songs share a unified yet evolving mosaic that has been drawn from Monroe's own life experience and the universal conditions we can all relate to: loss, love, irony, struggle, revenge, and an ongoing search for answers.


Bassist Enrique Mancia, originally from Honduras and Spain, unifies the band's sound, pulling together the harmonic elements in the music to support both structure and melody.


Drummer Jean John, hailing from Slovenia, brings a cerebral and eclectic approach that speaks to the meaning of the music, while maintaining a solid backbone and groove; his sound unmistakable.
