Jason Cross Biography
Jason Cross is a rising, fully-independent country rock artist known for his edgy style and country swagger. Originally from Michigan, Jason began performing in 2015 and moved to Nashville in 2020. With a haircut fit for a rockstar and the stage presence to match, Jason has created an undeniable brand for himself.
Over the years, Jason has opened for an array of national acts such as Jon Langston, Chase Matthew, Lakeview, Granger Smith, Craig Morgan, Scotty McCreery Buckcherry and more, steadily building a dedicated fan base along the way. His debut single, “It Ain’t Me”, was released in 2021, followed by his breakout hit “Beer Ain’t Gonna Drink Itself” (BAGDI). Fan-favorite track “Already Gone” has garnered millions of streams, while “Routine Town” debuted at #48 on the iTunes Country charts, and “MUD” reached #35. His music has also been featured on Spotify playlists such as “All New Country,” “New Music Friday Country,” and “Fresh Finds Country.”
To kick off 2025, Jason joined Lakeview on their headlining “Blue Collar Country” tour, which wrapped up at the end of March. Inspired by a diverse range of artists, including Alice in Chains, Randy Houser, and Koe Wetzel, Jason’s music fuses country rock with gritty storytelling, consistently pushing genre boundaries. Whether performing on large stages alongside top acts or captivating audiences in local dive bars, Jason Cross is an emerging talent continuously proving to be a must-hear artist in both country and rock genres.
Looking ahead, he’s got a series of new releases lined up for the remainder of 2025; gritty, honest, intimate songs that blend his hard-hitting energy with the kind of storytelling that you can’t get out of your head.
This fall, he’s launching his independently created Hits Hometown acoustic tour, running from August through December. Entirely fan- and host-driven, the tour takes him across the country for stripped-down performances in backyards, barns, dive bars, and living rooms. It’s all about connecting directly with the people who’ve been riding with him from the start, bringing the music to the heart of the communities that want it most.
