The Nickel Slots return to the Yolo County Fair on August 16th 2025! We''re playing an early show, taking the stage from 4pm to 6 pm. All 5 of the band members all have Woodland connections.
Come see The Nickel Slots before the Destruction Derby, we will have a special guest filling in on Drums for Chris Amaral, long time friend of the band Dave Cline (drummer for the Brodys)! SEE YOU THERE!

The Nickel Slots Biography
An alt-country, Americana-styled roots rock band out of Sacramento, California consisting of drummer Christopher Amaral, vocalist and guitarist Tony Brusca, guitarist and singer Steve Amaral, and newest members, bassist and singer Troy Hook, and guitarist and singer Greg Baxter. The Nickel Slots were formed in 2008 and their bright, energetic sound, which at its best crosses Johnny Cash country with a punk veneer, garnered them an enthusiastic and loyal fan base. The band self-released two albums, the eponymous Nickel Slots in 2009 and 2011's Five Miles Gone, both of which impressed critics and expanded the group's audience. ~ Steve Leggett, Rovi
