About this concert
Andy Sheppard QUARTETS is a vehicle for Sheppard to reflect on past, present, and future compositions; describing this new musical ensemble and its concept, he writes:
“It’s not about a nostalgia kind of thing, we will be playing a wide range of music that has come out of me over the last 20, 30 years… however, it’s a movable feast, with stuff I’m playing and working on at the moment… and tunes that I have re-arranged especially for Quartets. I am constantly writing… I usually write with the guitar… I love the guitar… this band will be continually developing, whilst at the same time digging into my own musical story."

Such a great concert! Beautiful compositions and excellent soloists. A rhythmical piano paired with a melodic saxophone and Bass. Excellent drum accompaniment- I loved the “brushes” sound 😉🤗
