Guardian Biography
Officially formed in 2024, the band’s roots stretch back much further, with frontman Parker VanderYacht scouting bandmates for over seven years. After meeting Blade Johnson in high school band, the two have been jamming together ever since. In 2021, Parker connected with Aidan Johnson at North County Christ the King church in Lynden, WA, and later joined Blade’s band, Undecided, sparking the first Hallo Prima event.
The journey took a turn in 2023 when Parker was sidelined by a serious battle with Crohn’s disease. Following surgery in early 2024, he regrouped with Blade, Aidan, and Keegan Cass for a casual jam session—one that quickly turned into something more. Guardian. Wasting no time, they began working on Parker’s existing songs, including Wasteland and Nineveh, the latter of which was recorded in July and released in August 2024.
