About this concert
A banger is forecast......a local hero, a COM regular and a touring Aussie band.....clearly, you should be coming >>>> The Brackish (Post Rock / Psyche) Black Aleph (Post Metal / Doom) Josh Magill (Alternative / Pop) £7 ADV £10 OTD 7.30pm doors 8pm music TICKETS: https://wegottickets.com/crashofmoons/ The Brackish (Bristol) Their 5th time at TCOMC, The Brackish are a 4-piece experimental band from Bristol, UK. First formed in 2012, the band have released five albums and are finalising their sixth. The Brackish sound is characterised by its use of dynamics, long-form composition and improvisation. Face melting heavyness gives way to gentle, spacious soundscapes within a single composition. Kraut-like grooves, polyrhythms, violent melodic statements and psychedelic, freeform improvisation are present in equal measure. Always expressed with a strong emphasis on melody and narrative, aiming to take the listener on journeys of much needed escapism. https://www.instagram.com/thebrackishmusic https://www.youtube.com/user/funsizeanimation https://www.facebook.com/TheBrackish https://open.spotify.com/artist/1kj3lvFhOPe5AqLu2BhDw2 Black Aleph (Australia) Exploring deconstructed post-metal and cinematic doom, Black Aleph merges Middle Eastern modal traditions with layered live loops, ritualistic beats, and doom-metal variations. The album, featuring guitar, cello, and Iranian daf drum, has drawn comparisons to Justin Broadrick, Neurosis, and Godspeed You! Black Emperor for its tectonic, almost spiritual soundscapes. Produced by Tim Carr (We Lost The Sea) and mastered by Mell Dettmer (Earth, Sunn O))), with artwork by Darren Tanny Tan and Salah Alkhal, Apsides highlights the powerful interplay between light and dark, and the cosmic themes of orbital mechanics. https://blackaleph.bandcamp.com https://facebook.com/blackaleph https://www.instagram.com/black.aleph Josh Magill (Canterbury) Ex Syd Arthur drummer and TCOM regular comes with a powerful solo set. The Brackish Biography

Having recorded first album 'Big Guys' which was released on Lavathief , 2014 saw the band build up a reputation for their incendiary and occasionally amp-destroying gigs. In 2016 they released second album,' Liquid of Choice' on Bad Elephant Music. There's a murky interconnected web in the Brackish mix; Guitarist Luke Cawthra and drummer Matt Jones played together in art-rock band The Nuge then with Emily Breeze and Phantom Limb. Matt played with guitarist Neil Smith in afrobeat band Helele and prog-jazzers Smith and Willox. Bassist Jacob Myles-Tyghe joined the band in 2016. Thrillingly unique instrumental post-punk psych band featuring alumni of The Liftmen, Zun Zun Egui, This Is The Kit and Phantom Limb.
