Alternative rock four piece Cardboard Cutouts are proud to announce their largest headline tour to date, in celebration of their debut full-length record, Politics and Footy Tips, out June Friday 27th. The Toowoomba band will land in Brisbane on the same day for the launch of their album, playing The Brightside Brisbane. Cardboard Cutouts hail from regional Queensland and are formed by high school mates Eliot Argus (rhythm guitar and vocals) Campbell Patterson (lead guitar and vocals) and Rohan Parker (drums), with Sebastian Czaran (bass guitar and vocals) completing the outfit. The first single of the album, ‘My Best Friend’, earned airplay across Triple J Unearthed and community radio plus numerous praise from music media outlets across the country, with the release being capped off by the band's first headline interstate tour. Their second single, ‘Steer’ cements the bands ability to combine gutsy, emotive choruses with introspective, delicate moments - a songwriting trait that weaves its way throughout their forthcoming debut album. The live stage is where Cardboard Cutouts’ discography truly comes alive, and it's their exhilarating, community-building performances that have seen them grow from playing school events to sharing stages with the likes of Grinspoon’s Phil Jamieson, Greta Stanley, Vera Blue, Concrete Surfers, and more.
