The Black Shades are a San Diego-based cover band with a hybrid repertoire of feel-good contemporary and retro Top40, Rock, and Funk music.

Our youthful band brings authentic performances of contemporary hits and a fresh take on pop classics, ensuring everyone has a song they love. With each member boasting over 10 years of live performance experience, we deliver a polished and professional, yet spontaneous and fun, show that connects with a multigenerational audience.

We offer full service, including live sound and lighting, and have experience playing a variety of events such as public bar and club gigs, private corporate events, and weddings.
