Beletrie is a blending of 60's psychedelic surf, 70's progressive and 80's new wave sound.
The music is primarily instrumental soundscape with occasional vocal passages inspired by dystopian literature.
Rising from the ashes of decades of prior efforts (Braillehouse, Immigrant Suns, and Fiction) in the Detroit rock scene, the members are creating music unbounded by tradition, convention or expectation.
