From backing Frank Sinatra to bringing down the house today—James A. Rocco is back where he belongs.
James A. Rocco’s career is a journey through American music and performance. At just 10 years old, he was handpicked to sing backup on Frank Sinatra’s Watertown, a concept album masterminded by Bob Gaudio of The Four Seasons. Coached by Frankie Valli himself, Rocco soon became the kid voice behind the unforgettable jingle, “It takes two hands to handle a Whopper.”
He went on to record at the iconic Gold Star Studios, perform with jazz great Dick Williams, and tour the world with Herbie Hancock and The Duke Ellington Orchestra in Sophisticated Ladies. He played Judas on tour in Jesus Christ Superstar, and later starred on Broadway as The Rum Tum Tugger in CATS. In 2012 he hit the FMQB Top 40 with a recording of Diane Warren’s “And The Night Stood Still,” from his album, “It’s Between Us.”
Though he spent years directing and producing stage productions, Rocco never left the mic behind. From late-night clubs to packed concert halls, his voice has always found its way back to the spotlight—soulful, bold, and unmistakably his own.
Now, he's releasing a wave of newly remastered vintage recordings and original tracks that fuse pop, rock, jazz, and theatrical storytelling. The result? A sound that's timeless, fresh, and entirely Rocco.
