Jack and the Axes Biography
Jack and the Axes are an electrifying original blues band out of Newcastle, Australia.
Influenced by classic artists like John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie-Ray Vaughan, BB King and Joe Bonamassa, the band brings their expression and appreciation to the blues tradition with their first EP release - Proof Is In The Poison.
Lead singer Anyerin Drury brings gutsy vocals, emotional guitar lines and killer harp solos, supported by a solid but spicy rhythm section from bassist Danny McKibben and drummer Aiden Smith.
Between their catchy tunes and intense dynamic expression, Jack and the Axes will leave you simply wanting more of the blues.
