Contraptions are a cutting-edge musical fusion of chaos and melody, hailing from the steel city of dreams Sheffield, UK.

Contraptions represent the very essence of their hometown's spirit. What sets them apart is their unique sound, where the sheer intensity of metal meets the unpredictable rhythms of prog and ska, all while being carried by the electrifying energy of a powerful horn section.

Taking influence from artists such as Mr Bungle, Oingo Boingo, Frank Zappa, Dream Theater, Rivers of Nihil, Thank You Scientist, Fishbone Trivium, Reel Big Fish and Periphery, the band aims to shatter expectations, challenge norms, and explore extraordinary sonic landscapes.

Contraptions have released two singles mixed and mastered by Charlie Wilson at Monolith Studios and are currently in the process of recording their follow up EP.
