I first saw Tall Tall Trees opening for Elle King on a hemp farm in North Carolina mountains and was so entranced listening to him play his one man banjo mix I HAD to buy the album. I have been trying to see him live again since that show and this show at the Radio Room was incredible. I love to stream his music but when you see him live it’s a totally different level of ART. His banjo isn’t your typical banjo. He’s has turned it into this sound machine that absorbs beats and replicates them to play on their own while he strums and sings. If you’ve never seen him play on person it needs to be on your concert bucket list because you’ll never see anything like Tall Tall Trees show. My husband went with me and he couldn’t believe how incredibly talented this banjo artist was and how unique the show was to any other banjo music experience. Can’t wait to see it again!

Tall Tall Trees Biography
The man behind Tall Tall Trees is Mike Savino, a pioneer in the the world of experimental and psychedelic banjo music. If you've seen Kishi Bashi live over the last several years, chances are you've already seen this insane banjo virtuoso playing in K's band, and perhaps opening the show. Often performing solo, Savino’s modern take on the one-man band involves running his homemade instrument, dubbed the "Banjotron 6500" through a slab of effects and loopers, bowing, drumming, and strumming out multi-textured arrangements to support his lyrically driven songs.
