Matty Black is an Exciting and Charismatic Solo performer of well known Covers and Originals and Instrumentals
Matty is hard to put into a Box or category of one particular genre or Style. Being A Diverse Eclectic artist performing Instrumental pieces inspired by a whole lifetime of music, originals or Covers he has a range of performance approaches that are both dynamic and entertaining. Whether he is serenading as he moves around tables in a restaurant or Rocking the Roof off, His Energetic performance always delights.

Matt is a lifetime student of music his influences span many decades and many more genres. Originating as a lead guitarist in working and original bands, Matt eventually played is First Gig on Hamilton Island in the 90s. Matt became the Engineer and producer at Advanced Recording studios in the Early 2000s dedicating his time to developing young Original acts and at the same time developing his knowledge. Eventually Matt returned to the stage which led him to pursue a Solo career.

Matt now makes his living as a travelling Musician playing mostly Covers as he explores farther and wider in the QLD region whilst still developing and occasionally performing his Originals. Matt has been described on different occasions as Energetic mesmerising talented.

Matt has different approaches to different music and venues, whether is Be Acoustic and Vocals, or His Instrumental set for the sophisticated restaurant vibe live looping, or the Rock out and party with his custom made backing of favourites Classic and party anthems to support his top level Guitar playing and Energy on stage,. Matt endeavors to do Covers Faithfully to the original only stepping away from that occasionally when the mood suits. Substituting his band with tracks was not a welcome nor easy decision but necessary measure to ensure Matt can demonstrate what he is really capable of and maximising his entertainment value and range as he travels around delivering His high energy Fun and vibrant show.

Matt's Originals have been described as being contemporary radio friendly and catchy whilst having nostalgic ire weaved in, they feel familiar whilst being completely new. The most challenging thing is putting his music into a package as he weaves from genre to genre as each musical component or style is crafted to speak to the song but somehow matt seems to pull this off with his Authentic Emotional and skilled performance. Is is Blues? is it Soul? is it Reggae or SKA? Is it Rock is it Pop, Latin? Is it just Art and emotional expression, or is it just a fun or interesting track? Well that depends on the song and the listener. Either way it makes for an entertaining and engaging show with a little bit of something everyone should be able to relate to and enjoy.
