DJ Sam Sinister Biography
Sam Sinister has been obsessed with finding new music most of his life, well before "music discovery" was even a term. Since the age of 14, he's been seeking out and devouring punk rock, its off-shoots, and its influences, amassing a digital audio library most would die for.
Unrestrained by concerns like popularity or current trends, while still rejecting the oh-so-limiting viewpoint that mainstream is bad, Sam's main concern is always as simple as this:
"Is the song any good?"
Whether it's a brand new release (or simply new to him), an obscure Sixties track, an international legacy artist, or current local band, if Sam likes it, he plays it. As long as it gets the audience's toes tapping and their heads nodding, the night's been a success!
Sam Sinister is a Western PA ex-pat living in the Cleveland area for the past decade. He was the singer and primary songwriter for the bands Dead City Dealers, Bar Trash, and Shart 69. He's a lot older than he looks and he enjoys whiskey, chili dogs, and pizza.
