DI WAV

Daniela Carpio, known by her stage name “Di WAV,” is a Swiss-Guatemalan-American composer, musician, and visual artist. Her love for music blends rock, gothic, indie, pop, electronic, and alternative influences. With over 1.3 million streams to her name, Di WAV has released 2 conceptual EPs, "Masoquista" (2019) and "Despierta" (2021). On July 12, 2024, she presented the LP "SURREAL," produced by Latin Grammy and Grammy winners Reuven Amiel and Marthin Chan.

Di WAV won the 2024 Estela Award for "Best Rock Song" with the track "Singular" and also won the 2023 Estela Award for "Best Rock Song" with the track "Ataúd." The artist received the "Espacios 2024" grant, an initiative promoted by the Ministry of Culture of her native Guatemala and awarded to notable artists in various disciplines. Her song "Singular" was selected by the radio station Reactor 105.7FM to be part of its August premieres, entering the programming of the renowned station. In 2022, she reached the quarterfinals in Audacy Radio's Opening Act Competition in the United States.

She was a semifinalist at the 2024 MIN Awards (Spain) in the category of "Best International Artist," alongside big names like PJ Harvey, Queens of the Stone Age, Mexican Institute of Sound, and Mitski. She is currently promoting her project in Mexico, Guatemala, and the United States, her key markets.

Di has been featured in notable press in the past years including Billboard US, Billboard Argentina, Forbes Centroamerica, Univision (Uforia Music), The Latin Alternative (WEXT), The World Cafe Best New LatinX (NPR), SiriusXM, Indie Rocks (Mexico), Guatemala.com and many more.
