About this concert
De to rigsspillemænd i folkemusikduoen Jensen & Bugge har spillet sammen i over 20 år!

Kristian Bugge Biography
Kristian Bugge is a fiddle player from Denmark, currently living in the beautiful capitol of Copenhagen. His main activities takes place on the Danish, Scandinavian and North American folk music scene. With a focus on the strong Danish folk music traditions, he's playing and touring with groups like Baltic Crossing, Jensen & Bugge, Gangspil, Habadekuk and Wenzell & Bugge, occasionally with Kings of Polka and 3fiddlers 3traditions.
He's learned a lot and still gets new inspiration from many fiddle players, including Peter M. Uhrbrand, Kalle Almlöf and Jerry Holland. One of his best musical friends across nations and generations is Dwight Lamb from Iowa, USA with whom he still gets together whenever there is a chance. For about 10 years Kristian played duo with the legendary accordionist, Karl Skaarup until he sadly passed away in 2013 at the age of 89.
He has a strong love for the traditional music but also really enjoy experimenting and being part of crossover projects as the cooperation with classical percussionist Ronni Kot Wenzell in the very active duo Wenzell & Bugge and the award-winning Danish folk big band Habadekuk.
9 Danish Music Awards (Danish Grammys) ! "- quite an impressive row of awards that he's received both as a soloist and with his groups. To mention a few ”Danish Folk Artist of the Year” at the Danish Music Awards 2011 and again “Danish Folk Musician of the Year” at the Danish Music Awards 2016!"
