About this concert
Soul- Folk music to move and amuse...
Annie Sea sings soul-folk music to move and amuse. Her music weaves the tender, groovy soul of Tracy Chapman and India Arie with the folk lyricism of Joni Mitchell. Her poignant, earth-centered songs appeal to fans of Ayla Nereo and Rising Appalachia, while her clever, humorous tunes provide a twist on the standard singer-songwriter fare. Based in the Green Dream tiny home in Portland, Oregon, she strives to pursue an eco-conscious life in alignment with her message.
Annie’s music is featured in the documentary Dammed to Extinction, on the 350.org compilation Protect What You Love – Songs and Stories of the Pacific Northwest, and the film Falling South. Her music was also featured on the Women of Substance Podcast’s “Music with a Conscience” series.
Whether she is leading a band or weaving a solo live looped soundscape, Annie’s velvet voice and lively melodies energize and empower her audience. She released a series of singles, Tiny House Loft, Save Me, and Quarantine in 2021-2022. These songs, along with the title track Aligning, were released as an EP collection on September 9, 2022.

Stephanie Strange’s storytelling songs guide the audience into the supernatural Strange World, a world in every way like ours with a magical twist. Combining crafted lyrics laced with dark humor, with rock and blues guitar and orchestral cello and drums, Strange leads captivated audiences from a neighborhood in NE Portland to the dreamscape and back home where humanity sits at a crossroads.
Her inspirations include the fantastical comic book themes of Neil Gaiman and Alan Moore, the gothic humor of Tim Burton, and the drama of storytelling theatre. She has supported national touring acts like Floater and Bria Skonberg, performed at festivals across the Pacific Northwest including SXSW and Folkfest, and has been featured in Oregon Music News, Voyage LA, Geek in the City Podcast, Portland Radio Project, KBOO, and KPSU.
