Hywater Biography
Hailing from Niagara Falls, NY, HYWATER is a rock band featuring Thomas Tedesco (lead vocals, guitars), Collin Lacki (keyboards, vocals) Connor Best (bass, guitars), and Dylan Howard (drums).
The band boasts a modern-meets-vintage rock sound that draws inspiration from bands such as Goo Goo Dolls, Gin Blossoms, and Soul Asylum.
They released their first single, “Up in the Air” worldwide to all streaming platforms on July 21, 2023. The song was on the 2024 Grammy Ballot for the category of Best Rock Performance.
The song has received rotation on both 91.3 FM WBNY in Buffalo, NY and 97.3 FM KGRR The Rock in Dubuque, IA, amongst others.
The band followed up the release of "Up in the Air" with their debut EP, "This Way Up," which was released worldwide to all major streaming platforms and CD on Dec. 22, 2023.
In the summer of 2023, HYWATER was asked to open for Rock & Roll Hall of Fame guitarist, Don Felder (formerly of the Eagles) at the Rockin’ the Downs Series at Batavia Downs in Batavia, NY. They were also a part of the 4th annual Village Music Festival lineup that featured Marcy Playground and Deep Blue Something in Youngstown, NY.
The band have proven to be a regional favorite with a performance at the Emerging Sounds Showcase, sponsored by 91.3 FM The Summit, at the Rialto Theatre in Akron, Ohio in 2023. In 2024, they were a part of the 10th annual Federal Frenzy Festival lineup at Youngstown State University and performed at Westside Bowl, both in Youngstown, OH.
