THE WORLDS MOST BOISTEROUS ORCHESTRA
Skallsjö Sommarorkester consists of a group of young musicians who believe that classical music has gained a reputation it doesn't deserve. Our goal is to show the world how enjoyable music can be. Forget old customs and traditions, but keep the core - what makes us all dedicate our lives to music.
The orchestra's vision is to renew and spread classical music, as well as to show that it can be played in many different ways and that there is something for everyone. Through our approach, choice of repertoire, and the way we present and perform, we aim to create an open environment where everyone feels welcome, whether or not they usually listen to or attend classical concerts.
